Could you please introduce yourself?
My name is Pilar Rosario. I'm originally from the Dominican Republic and I am a colon hydrotherapist and an integrated nutrition health coach.
What is a confident woman for you?
Well, that has been a great journey for me to find my own confidence or self-confidence over and over again as we take on bigger challenges in our lives every time. And my most recent project - colon hydrotherapy and body cleansing - has truly pushed my limits towards a new level of self-confidence that I didn't know I needed.
So for me, confidence looks like being at peace and in harmony with your full self, with your light, with your shadows, with your good, and the not so good, and being in a sentence and in harmony and at peace and trusting that all of the parts of you, the good, the bad, and the ugly they are really all meant to be there and they are meant to be loved and unified into a beautiful heart.
Can you share a bit more about your life journey that lead you to be the confident woman you are today.
Yeah, absolutely. It wasn't just the one thing, it was many things and it was a full journey, of course.
But the main thing that I'm still discovering and I'm still learning and practicing and offering professionally is getting to know your divine feminine and your divine masculine. So we all have a masculine side represented by a right side and a feminine side represented by a left side. Same thing with our brain, how it is crossed right and left and in action.
You know, the feminine is the more soft and restful and blissful nature, and the masculine is the more strong and doer and active nature. So from a cultural standpoint, coming from an immigrant family, it was very much embedded in me. The programing of the masculine, the working hard, the go getter, the breadwinner. You know, we needed to work hard for our families.
I helped my family migrate from the Dominican Republic. Both my mother and my brothers came here after me and I was very proud to have been able to help them make that major step in life that has really set them off for a new life in a new country. However, I had put away, I had talked away my divine feminine.
I had not allowed myself to be whole for a long period of time. And that led to a lot of imbalances and just inner conflicts and issues that manifested with our outer experience. I realized that my universe in me really is a reflection of the experience in the outer world that I am living. Being able to understand the concept of the Divine feminine and the Divine masculine versus a toxic masculine and the toxic feminine that we are very used and familiar with in the media has really opened up a world of possibilities, empowerment, to really choose how to show up for myself first and then for my family, for my loved ones, my friends, my business, my partners. So many people and relationships that we are part of that really entail you to have that level of knowing yourself and confidence so that you can remain alive to what is your life purpose.
What is it that you came to do in this lifetime, in this earth, you know? It really takes knowing yourself and making peace with those parts of you that maybe are not the prettiest ones. And not being ashamed of it and honor them and love them and letting go of whatever is there that's no longer serving you and holding you back from being the best version of yourself. Because we all have that best version of ourselves that is beautiful.
You have mentioned that you spent many years in the corporate world before you started your own business. How did you transition from being a corporate career climber towards the business you have now?
That has also been the journey of a lifetime and at the core of it was getting to know my strength in the Divine Feminine so that I could put down that toxic masculine and that ego that really wanted to keep going and making more money and getting bigger, greater things accomplished. You know, I really am an Aries, so I am of a very, very competitive nature. So in school, in sports, you name it, I have always been shooting for the best, to be the number one and when it came to work and being in corporate where, you know, comparing yourself and salaries and climbing the career ladder became very much of a lifestyle. For me to get out of that mentality took a lot of inner work and again, finding that balance between my divine masculine and feminine so that I could find that middle where I could accept the help of others for the purpose of living my dreams, if that makes sense. Because the transition is hard, you have to downsize. You have to really lay everything down on the table and pick and choose what's really worth keeping and holding on to and what is time to let go of, you know, the burdens, the dead, whatever it is that's holding you from living your dream life. YOU know what it is that's holding you back.
That's what I keep asking myself. So I started sort of shedding layers. The last few years it was a process of shedding those layers of all that weight that was just holding me back. And at the point with a lot of prayer universe provided me the perfect opportunity to make a choice. It was either to go back to corporate banking after losing my job. And I said, okay, I'll go back and apply for another job and I know what that is like and where that's going to lead, because I've been doing this for 15 years. Or do I now start something new? That's the desire of my heart. That's really empowering me to become a new, bigger, more impactful version of myself that I can serve my community and help people find healing and true natural healing, both inner and outer in there, in the emotional balance, in the God balance, as well as in their spiritual balance.
Being able to make that shift took a lot of courage. But at the same time, it was really a process of transformation of shedding those layers and burning them and rising like the Phenix out of the ashes, if you will. Every time stronger because us, especially as females, we are like the Phenix. We shed every moon and we are reborn and rebirth just like a rose that opens up every month.
And it is just a beautiful journey to be able to leverage that natural cycle of the moon that we have been gifted and that society sometime wants to label it as something that's, you know, a curse. But it is really a blessing. And once we learn and understand how to work with it, how to honor it, and how to leverage it to manifest our deepest dreams of our hearts, it is really a magical journey.
And that's why I do what I do. Because through “Love Your Gut” we mean heal. I offer those natural services and as well as energetic healing services, like working with a yoni eggs that can really help women break through so many boundaries and just by cleansing themselves and giving themselves the time to heal because you can heal yourself and only you.
